If you have been looking for food intolerance testing then the ALCAT Test should be at the top of your list! The Difference Between Food Allergy and Sensitivity
The ALCAT Test is a highly sensitive, objective test for assessing which foods you may be intolerant or sensitive to. Our bodies react to foods and chemicals in many different ways. One such way is in the form of an immediate allergic reaction. The ALCAT Test does not specifically test for this type of classic or “true” food allergy. Therefore, if you already know that you have a Type 1 or IgE mediated allergy then you must continue to avoid those items.
The ALCAT Test is NOT an “allergy” or IgE test. The ALCAT is the most effective and comprehensive sensitivity/intolerance test available. The test identifies reactions to over 350 foods, chemicals and other substances associated with inflammation that are linked to chronic health problems like migraines, aching joints, fatigue, gastrointestinal disorders, eczema, hyperactivity/ADD, asthma and even obesity.
The ALCAT Test will not identify immediate food allergies. If you have immediate or IgEmediated food allergies please continue to avoid these items even if they appear onyour green or “acceptable” foods list.
If you are in any doubt, or have any questions regarding IgE/classic food allergies, please consult with your physician who can assist in identifying these types of “true” food allergies. It is rare that foods cause this type of classic allergy, typically less than 5% of the population. If you ask me, the CONS aren’t really CONS. Most of us know if we allergic to certain foods already and don’t need to waste time and money at the doctors to find out. Regarding insurance, typically you go to the doctor and just get anti-histamine for your allergies. Rarely does your doctor think it might be related to food, and if you are lucky enough to have a doctor that knows about “food allergies” then you are likely to get the painful skin prick test that only test for immediate allergies (IgE). Then you are left with allergy shots as your treatment, sometime 3 and 4 shots at a time. And all this time you are still having reactions to foods you are eating, they are just delayed reactions (sensitivities) so you never get better.
So bottom line, if you have been looking for the best in food sensitivity testing then the ALCAT Test is what you are looking for!
I am so thankful for the results of my ALCAT test. I now know I am not crazy! Last January and February I experienced episodes of Vertigo that caused me to step away from working in our church nursery, not knowing it was Vertigo, but feeling not in control of my body I didn’t want to cause harm to anyone’s precious child. March I experienced the same sensation while sitting in a chair at my office desk. A CT Scan was ordered and the doctor called to say I had a sinus infection, ordered antibiotics. I just want to tell anyone who takes the Alcat test that it is very accurate. I was having headaches in the past and did not know exactly which foods the headaches were coming from. I took the Alcat test and confirmed that several items I suspected were on my list of intolerant foods. I also found that there were many more on my list and answers were finally there. It was not a guessing game. I have been staying away from these foods for three weeks now and I must say that I feel much better. My headaches stay away as long as I avoid my offending foods. My 9 year old son also did the test. He has an allergy to dust mites which results in asthma. He needs to stay away from milk, wheat and some other foods. His list was not as long as mine. He has been following the guide lines and staying away from intolerant foods. He has decreased his asthma medicine 3 times a day to 2 times a day and sometimes we even decrease the dose by half. I see a wonderful improvement. We are what we eat. In order to feel better and take care of bodies, we need to do the right thing for us. I wish I had done this a long time ago.

My husband and I have done the Alcat test and would like to let others know what great results we have had. I have been on the rotation meal plan for 6 months and my husband for one month. Our daughter has been taking Ritalin and Paxil for over 5 years to deal with hyperactivity/ADHD as well as other health, concentration and academic issues.
